Alice Vickers
Director
Alice, a Director in Taranaki Law, is a specialist Family Lawyer. Alice is passionate about helping both adults and children through all aspects of Family Law. In what can be a very emotional and distressing time Alice works with her clients to ease their stress and confusion in navigating the Family Court system.
Alice represents adults in the Family Court in care of children act matters, domestic violence proceedings and issues regarding relationship property.
Alice was born and raised in South Canterbury, before attending the University of Otago obtaining a Bachelor of Law and Arts. Alice then moved back to Timaru where she started her Legal Career in general practice in 2009. After two and a half years Alice moved with her then partner now husband Sam, when he took up the position of Manager at Power Farming Taranaki.
Alice spends her time outside of work exploring the Taranaki countryside with her husband and young children. She also enjoys playing netball in the local Hawera social competition and socialising with friends.
Carley Dwyer
Director
Carley is a director at Taranaki Law. Born in Wanganui, Carley made the 1 hour move up to Hawera in 2007 after the completion of her studies at the University of Canterbury and a tour of Europe.
The first few years of practice was spent learning about all legal areas, before discovering her niche and enjoyment for assisting people with all conveyancing transactions, Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and many other legal needs that come with living in rural New Zealand.
Carley is a people person; she loves meeting new people and is very involved in the community. You will find her playing netball at the Hub, going to the gym, watching and coaching her 3 children’s sports on Saturday mornings, on the Board at her children’s primary school or just spending time with friends and family. Carley’s happy place is enjoying good food with good company.
Alison Riddick
Legal Secretary
Alison has a background in the banking industry before taking a break while raising her family. During this time, she supported local kindergartens and schools on parent committees and serving on the Hawera High School Board of Trustees.
Backed up by working in administrative roles in various industries Alison has 16 years’ experience working for Law Firms.
Alison has joined the Taranaki Law team as our Administration Support Person/ Legal Secretary.
Alice and Carley will be relying on her experience and vast knowledge to assist in running the firm.
Alison has worked with Carley and Alice in previous roles and has built knowledge and experience in all aspects of Law offered by the firm.
Outside of work Alison enjoys travel, spending time with her family and fourth baby Brian the snoodle.
McKenzie Richardson
Registered Legal Executive
McKenzie’s main area of law is conveyancing, and she particularly enjoys working with first-home buyers. Balancing family life and a career, she finds fulfilment in helping individuals embark on their homeownership journey.
McKenzie is born and raised in Taranaki, and lives locally with her partner Steve, and young son Asher. Outside of work, McKenzie enjoys prioritizing family moments, whether it’s enjoying the company of pets, exciting travel adventures, or simply taking the time to enjoy the present.
