Contracting Out

A contracting out agreement is a legally binding document that allows couples to define the ownership and division of property and assets in the event of a relationship breakdown or separation. A contracting out agreement is often referred to as a prenuptial agreement. These agreements can be entered into at any stage of a relationship before separation.  

There are many reasons to consider a contracting out agreement, including; protecting individual assets, clarifying financial expectations, preserving family wealth, business interests and estate planning.
